Hey guys,
I am caught in a mix at the moment trying to order some new shoes for the next block of training. I’ve previously ran on Saucony Kinvara 5’s and Skechers GoRun 4 since they have the 4mm drops and are lighter. I loved them both. Then I switched to NB 890v5 (8mm drop) and loved those too! Should I stick with one or get one training shoe and one for racing? (more padding vs flatter/faster). I have also looked at the NB Vazee Pace (6mm drop), never had them before though.
Any advice is appreciated!
I personally would have one for each. A heavier, trainer shoe for the majority of my running, then something lighter for racing. I usually carry a third pair in the rotation to use for faster runs, just to mix it up. Something heavier like the 890v5 for training and long runs, then the Vazee Pace for faster tempo runs, track and racing. Solid lineup. The Vazee Pace is a great shoe.
