Is there such a thing? The poseur police on this forum are quick to point out cycling poseurs & the occasional swimming poseur, but you never hear them mention running. I think it is because they have never passed anyone on the run except for maybe the ladies walking group in their subdivision.
Of course there are running poseurs… the people that race IM’s with flats!
Ooooooo oooooo!!! Let me, let me! Ok, a running poseur would be running an IM in flats with a singlet and doing 12 minute miles while not looking like he/she is about to die. Ok, ok, I look like I’m about to die every time I go run…but that’s beside the point. Someone in flats should be doing 6 min or be doing the death march.
Hmmmm…maybe it’s the guys in the hot sun midmorning 95F that are running in matching dark blue shortsleeve shirts, short shorts and hat. Matching shoes are an extra bonus. You see them also running 12 minute miles a lot. No real runner would wear an outfit like that in the blazing sun, right? Ooops, hope I don’t offend Frank again. He’ll start another thread flaming me for flaming running poseurs.
