Going to be there for business next week. Anyone have any ideas about good places to run or to swim early in the morning?
The Delaware Raritan Canal is not in Princeton, but it is near there. It is a flat, shaded towpath that runs along the canal for 70 miles. http://www.dandrcanal.com/gen_info.html
I live a little bit north of there so I don’t know other places where people run, but the running store in princeton is

Are you staying in Princeton or near Princeton? If you’re in Princeton, you can run just about any direction and find something good. Near Princeton could be another story. Either way, the canal path that was mentioned is a good option.
Sorry, but not sure about swimming. There is a Y, a few gyms, and the college might have something. Can’t provide much more help though.

On a recent trip to the Princeton area, I stumbled upon that towpath. I was expecting the typical work trip run around mall parking lots, busy streets, etc, and that run was one of the best of my season. A great surprise. (I was staying out on Rt 1 near the Hyatt.)
If you are staying in Princeton you can just run to the towpath; otherwise there is parking for example at the ‘turning basin park’ just off Rt 1, Alexander Rd.

RUN: Towpath - along the Lake Carnegie and beyond. You can park in the dirt lot across from the Princeton Boathouse. Runs about 20 miles in either direction (maybe more).
SWIM: Try pleading your case at Dillon Gym (tell them your child is applying and wants to know about the facilities or something) or go to Denunzio Pool (the competition pool), nobody ever checks, but the hours are not as good.
