I’m going to be in the UK later this week, and will have a day to kill in London. Any UK-based Slowtwitchers care to recommend a good place for a run? Ideally somewhere scenic & iconic.

Maybe the famous Hyde Park: http://www.royalparks.gov.uk/parks/hyde_park
You can also find other London parks on that website.
I’m not from UK, but have been in Hyde Park.
Be careful when yo run in the traffic, the cars drive in the wrong side of the road in England
I have been to London ~100 times (literally… business trips). You will find that people run just about everywhere in the evenings. Where you run will depend where you are staying. If you are in Kensington head to Kensington Gardens or Hyde Park. Sometimes I also stay in Wandsworth and run in Wandsworth park. At WP 1 lap is ~1km.
Other than that just walk out the front door of the hotel and take off in any random direction. Adventure is one of the few things that makes running enjoyable for me.
Thanks, both, for the quick advice. I now have a hotel reservation near Kensington Gardens. I’ll probably do one run there / Hyde Park and one “urban explore” run.
I’ll try to remember to look right before stepping off the curb, but will undoubtedly forget. That gets me every time.
google the Serpentine Runnning club. I’ve run with the Serpies many times on the Sat 3 parks loop. Run Hyde, green and kensington parks. You can easily get 10-15 if you don’t mind looping. Who knows maybe you’ll see madonna as she used to live in the mews near Hyde.
