Running form (2)

I just finished a duathlon and was looking at pictures my wife had taken. My running posture is not the usual of a runner with the upper body leaning slightly forward. Instead, my upper body is too upright or even seems leaning backwards. In pictures of other prior events I see the same posture. I suspect it should be affecting my performance. When I run I think this posture issue aggravates when I increase leg cadence, as if the legs were leaving the upper body behind. What is causing this and what can I do to overcome it?

i’m not expert, but if i had to guess, i’d say it’s likely a core strength issue. try doing more abs…

Have any pictures?

The biggest thing one can do to correct their form is to do 3-6 50 yard striders 3-5 days a week. All these are are short efforts at ~mile race pace where you focus on form. The catch is, you kind of need to figure out what it is you are doing wrong and what you should be doing different.

Check out some “pose” running videos. They help with my running efficiency.
