Running backpack,which one?

Hello

Since I run to go to the office I realize how annoying it is to have a backpack. I guess there is special backpacks that don’t jump up and down while running, which ones you recommend?

Depends on what you’re trying to carry while running. There’s everything from something that only holds a water reservoir to things that hold everything you need for days. How much are you looking to carry with this backpack while running?

A pair of shoes and my gym gear: shorts, tshirt.

Salomon is generally my favorite as they make extremely high quality products that seem to last forever. Check out something like their trail 20, which I have. Works great running to the office.

Can you just leave the second set of clothes at work? I try to carry as little as possible.

I’ve got a Nathan pack that I bought a few years ago. 3L water and enough room for a couple things (keys, phone, some clothes, etc). The shoulder straps made a X across my chest. Either the X-treme or X-ceed. Don’t know if they make them anymore…

My suggestion would be a Platypus Tokul xc5. It’s a 2L hydration pack with some storage capacity. You could then remove the bladder and have enough room for the items you are talking about. Then be able to put the bladder back if you ever run/ride with that sort of thing. The pack has a sternum strap and a tuck away waist strap. I use just the sternum strap and it doesn’t bounce around when running. The pack is meant for trail cyclists so some thought went into minimizing movement during activity. I just bought one new for $47, although they are usually like $75. Crap… I sound like a salesman.

They focus on running packs are great with great reviews. Doesn’t feel like your wearing much at all with the hydration pack I have. Most our geared towards hydration vests and race vests as opposed to packs but they have multiple pack options for gear.

They are built like a vest like Nathan for minimal movement vs camelback more like a backpack and were designed for ultrarunners.

Running warehouse has good pricing in them.

You can always pull the bladder out of a lot of running hydration packs and instantly have a backpack. Friend loaned my his Camelback ultra marathon vest, no bladder and I’ve ran a few miles in it so far with no issue.

Asked a bit ago. Enjoy and happy running. Best way to get into the office. Luckily I have a shower in my office, it’s better than the one at home.
