Hi Mike,
I hope you are well are your way to recovery at this point.
I’ll add my FWIW. I’m in coastal NH, so not too far away. I had my right knee scoped about 3 1/2 weeks ago - had a tear trimmed. So far so good. Swimming and biking are not a problem. Running is coming slowly and my Doc is expecting a return to running. I’m 70 and hope to do another marathon or two. I’ve been careful with a run/walk protocol and have found that using a treadmill very helpful. It’s very easy to control the effort and length of a session.
I am a little concerned about the long term prospects. There seem to be two lines of thought about whether to run or how much running is appropriate. For me, slow and steady and watch how my body responds. No one wants to do long term damage - but knowing what is challenging and healthy without overdoing is more art than science.
Good luck moving forward.
Steve
