Run suggestions for Ft. Worth/Grapevine area

My next project is likely going to be based in north Ft. Worth(Roanoke/Alliance area) and I live near Plano. Considering how early it gets dark & how long that commute is likely to be with all the construction I’m passing through, I’m looking at getting in my weekday runs near the project site so I’m not running around 8-9pm. I’m in marathon training so my runs are going to be in the 5-9 mile range during the week and I’d prefer running somewhere well-lit(paved is better, but trails will do). I don’t mind making a couple loops if that’s what it takes, I just don’t know the area so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Northshore trail at lake Grapevine is pretty nice.

Check out Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers at www.runnersandwalkers.com. They have a clubhouse that’s on the same side of the lake as your job site, and the club is large enough that there is always someone going for informal runs around the lake,etc. At the very least they can give you some insight into good places to run.
