Run in 43C!

OK so it is with the humidity…but still. 34C without.

Think about this though; 6 months ago I ran a couple days when it was -45C!!! Talk about the extremes.

Sure. Start VERY slow. Don’t worry about how far you need to go. Run easy for time. Make sure you are well hydrated starting and have access to water while running if running longer than 20 - 30 minutes.

I have run in India when it’s truely in the 40’sC. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Sorry, should have said ‘Ran in 43C’, cause I already did.

Started slow as I ran to a local track, then did 4x800 with a 400 jog in between. Good workout.

Ran in India? Now that sounds like fun. What does a true 40+C run feel like??

It feels like you are running with someone holding a giant hot-air hair dryer blowing on you.

This was during the dry heat of the early summer. It was bizarre, but you barely sweated. I found running in the humidity of the post-monsoon mid summer more oppressive.
