Run commute advice-carrying clothes, a lunch?

My bike ride to work is about 3.5 miles. I carry my running stuff and things I need for the day on the bike. I try to stay sub-sweat for the ride while wearing a t-shirt with work pants with other layers as needed according to weather. I wipe off with moist paper towels at my office, change into my work shirt, and am then ready to go. For the return trip I change into my running gear, stash my work clothes on the bike, and then run home pushing the bike. I select various routes home to increase mileage or take advantage of hills. This format has proven to be very time efficient over the past 30 years with a third to half of my weekly run distance accomplished as part of the commute. I started doing it in medical school and never quit. It is kind of circus act at first, but you get good at it and learn to switch sides every half mile or so.
