I’m selling my frameset that I had built last year due to the new elite team I’m on provided us with frames and I cant ride this anymore. It is a Ruegamer custom Zen uni-directional carbon tubes hand wrapped. I had it built in February of 08 and used it for a season. It has some paint chips from a season of use and Brent painted my name on the top tube. Retail on this frame is close to $4000 and about a 4-6 month wait. This would be a killer deal even if you had it repainted.See more of Brent’s work here www.ruesports.com.
The frame comes with an Edge Composites 2.0 fork that is painted to match and the ISP uses a 27.2 seatpost insert so it can be cut down for a shorter rider or extended for taller. Will sell as is(with record FD,WCS stem, stubby USE post, fsa headset and extra RD mount)
I have more pressing expenses first so the extra frame really needs to go
Stupid cheap at $1150+ship
TT 55.5cm
HT 13.5cm (15.5 with the 2cm spacers under stem)
HT 73 degree
ST 72 degree
BB drop 7cm
Chainstay 40cm
I have seen you dropping the price on this for a long time now and very surprised that no one has snapped this up. I ride a 54cm frame so I know that the measurements are just a bit big.
Anyone that is thinking about buying this frame should snap it up at this price as it is a steal. You will not get anything near this quality for this price.
jrennie, it may help selling it if you post the stack and reach of the frame. I’m guessing that it fits a little smaller than a 55.5 with the saddle angle at a more typical 74*. It’s hard to get a feeling for how this bike stacks up against other bikes, size wise.
A few other things that may be good to list are:
What is the current minimum saddle height? Could any Joe cut it down, or would that be a job for Rue himself?
Could a person use a different “seatpost” that had no setback?
Weight of just the frame?
Thanks, good questions.
The frame with isp is 1100g and was wrapped extra to give a stiff head tube and BB.
You can insert any 27.2 post in for more or less set back.
Anyone can cut the tube length down with the right tool(park tools cutting guide works well)
Currently it is a 75cm from bb to top of an slr saddle and the stack height is 14cm with the small fsa top cap(head tube length is 13.5)
The fit is almost identical to a medium BH global concept or Giant TCR
