Received my Wingspan today - initially I am pretty impressed. This helmet is definitely a lightweight. I normally wear an Actyum in size large and have loved the fit and comfort of that helmet since day one, especially compared to the cranial torture devices I’ve owned in the past. The unisize Wingspan - while appearing to move me back toward the torture device territory when it comes to comfort (which is not totally unexpected and my initial impression only, really need a road test to truly judge the comfort) fits absolutely fine and has a LOT of adjustment range built in.
The overall build quality/finish seems nice. That said, the tail cover is a pretty thin sheet of plastic material and not nearly as substantial as I had expected from the pictures - but this is a lightweight aero helmet, and I suppose time will tell how that bit holds up. Unless it’s being put on and taken off the helmet a lot I don’t think it will be too much of an issue. The helmet arrives in a pretty nice Wingspan storage bag.
Can post some pics of the helmet later if anyone has any requests…
