I think I paid just about $600 on the nose – for the high end Ti version.
Bought 'em shortly in mid-December, and the dollar has weakened quite a bit against the Euro since then.

these cranks interest me for sure - thanks for the info

Frank: anecdotal is fine with me.
Promised I’d say how they did in their first test – it’s only a sample of one, I realize. And from other tests on other equipment (maximum tests on various stationary bikes) I have reason to believe the “engine” part of the equation hasn’t improved much if at all this year. So…
Actually, I’m not really interested in “pumping” this product – first, 'cause doing so doesn’t benefit me (I buy all my own stuff, and as we know, this stuff ain’t cheap) and second, precisely because I think it’s pretty good (TT’s are competition, and you look for every edge you can get, eh?).
But there are some pretty cool folks here (and on Cobb’s site) who love sharing firsthand experience and insight of the technical side of TT’ing, and I love reading what they have to say.
This is just my own .02 – nothing more and nothing less. Would love to read what anyone else who’s raced on them has to say. And please don’t tell any NJ riders about this thread
PS: no-one asked, but yes, they are UCI legal.
Gary,
This is a thread from May 2003 (back when you were Gary in SD)before you even started riding rotor cranks and were just reading the studies. How long was it after this that you got a set of the cranks and when did you start working for Rotor?
