I’m looking into getting a Roof rack for my car. Does anyone have any tips on what to look for? I want to be able to fit 3 bikes on it.

Short answer to answer your question - go Thule or Yakima. Go fork mounted, not upright. Rocky Mounts makes awesome fork mounted trays that work on Thule and Yakima. That is all you need to know.
I would say Thule or factory roof racks if they make one for your make and model. Which might be made by Thule anyway.
