I was looking into getting roof racks for my 2 coupes. I know that they are of different sizes but my question is, are all Q towers the same for all cars? If someone is selling Q towers, do I have to find one that matches for my car? Any other things I have to consider other than the length of the bars. Thanks.

So all Q-Towers are the same regarding fit, they all will fit. There is a difference in height, but rarely does anyone need the extended Q-Towers. On a standard coupe you won’t need them.
What is different, is the Q-clips. These get held in place by the lock cores and clip to your car, so you will have to make sure you get the appropriate Q-clips for your Q-Towers.
Another question to ask is make sure you get lock cores for the Q-Towers and check and see if they are all the same lock cores i.e. one key fits all the locks.

but they are a pain to switch. And the spread (side to side) will probably be different between the two cars. Yakima specifies how wide the towers should be and in my case it was in bold not to adjust it. So, I made them about 1/2" closer together so that my sunroof will open without scratching along the bar. No problems so far for me. I’d say check to see if the spread is similar for your two cars.
