Rockman -Names and Faces

There were alot of ST’rs out there and got to meet a few of you. However for the most part was pretty busy.

So I’m guessing I saw most of you and most of you saw me but we were never “Formally” introduced.

Saturday I was the guy playing with Chips Yard darts with the 3yr old that had the mohawk.

Sunday I was helping park cars in the AM, worked the first and 3rd bike aid stations and also helped out a bit at the finish.

Sooo… Who’s who?

I was the female there with the guy with the wrist brace. We were standing out by the table while your son ate his dinner. Your son’s mohawk was awesome!

I was the guy making guac at Chip’s house. We sat outside a little later, my girlfriend had the gray 7 pound furball that your son was eager to pet.

During the race, I was the guy in the Chicago Tri Club uniform that wasn’t moving fast, but was not out of breath at all (damn muscle fatigue!).

And for the non-ST person during the swim, I was the one you stopped to call an A$$hole before you tried to grab my leg.

pictures people, pictures!!! there were a lot of people eating at chips house;-)

This is me. Sorry I wasn’t more social at the race…

I don’t know how to post pictures yet (besides I think they have to be posted elsewhere on the web and linked to, and I don’t know of any out there).

But I was the guy with the broken wrist in a brace. Not that it matters much to most because I just got my handle on ST and posted for the very first time yesterday after the race.

It was great meeting and hanging out with everyone. Looking forward to my future as a STer!

hey man, i was the guy with whom you were comparing road rash as we took the coldest shower of our lives.

I really think that wrist brace may have helped you on the swim :).

Yeah, the coldest and therefore the quickest. I think I was in and out in like 10 seconds.

It was nice to meet you yesterday, and God bless with your activites with AIA!

I was out eating on the porch with you and your son - light blue Triple T shirt and sunglass. Oh, and shaved legs

let me guess, you had a tan and sunglases too;-)
.

Where you the one that prompted the “da-da, why you got hairy?” comment from my son?

~Matt

Actually, yes, I think that was me!

Right, how did you do? I think we were near each other on the run, as well.

dan came up about 400 feet behind me right after he left you, and i started to hammer it, but after 15 min of running close to 6:20 pace i couldnt hold on and slowed down, he passed me, and suffered through the rest of the run, held on for 5:07 or 8
.

I had a good run to finish at 5:04.

16 minutes faster than my previous HIM PR.

I am loving life right now.
