Has anyone ever ordered custom shoes from Rocket 7? I wanted to see if I could get any feedback from anyone that has.
I ordered a pair of shoes back in December and haven’t heard anything back from them since February 2nd, when they told me the shoes would ship in ten days. Since I hadn’t received the shoes, I tried emailing and calling but have not received any sort of response. Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences. Is this normal? how long did it take anyone else to receive their shoes?

I recall their customer service on the short side as well. The shoes are unreal. When I switch between my Northwind and the Rockets, I can feel the weight difference right away. Good things come to those who wait. Yes, they make you wait and don’t always respond, but the product will leave you giddy.
I only have the custom insoles and the turnaround was pretty good. It did take a few weeks extra due to interbike being in the middle of my order. I talked with them several times and also emailed and got a quick return email.

I’m currently using my 3rd pair of R7’s … the product is great. 5 years ago, their customer service was great … success seems to have left their service lacking, but the product is still excellent. Best bike shoes I’ve ever had … and I’m an old guy that’s had a lot of good shoes. Always interesting how some companies deal with success … maybe they need some help figuring out about service;-)

Tried to order a pair several years ago. first sent them $125(approx) for a fit kit. Did all the required measurements and sent it back for the shoes to be made. Several weeks later they said I needed to fit myself with a special kit–another $125. Waited a long time–2-4 months.
They said they were having problems getting the special kit. It finally arrived some time later. Now we are at least several months out. The kit they sent was suitable up to size 9(said so on the box) At that point I was so disgusted I gave up. I suppose I could have protested the payments to Visa card but at that point I was so tired of dealing with them I just put it all behind me. I wish them well but they obviously hopeless business people. I don’t think they are malevolent–just incompetent in running a business.
