Woah. That jump was insane!

Thanks for sharing that.

I can’t imagine how fast he was going. Hell everyone else was sprinting and they looked like they weren’t even in the same league when they he went by.

Grant

everyone else was sprinting and they looked like they weren’t even in the same league…

They aren’t…

who was doing the commentary with Phil Liggett? Sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles.

Incredible finish! I guess my boycott of le Tour is over.

Robbie is simply amazing.

I think it Sean Kelly, irish rider from decades ago…not very charismatic!!! Bob Roll last year on TV was alot better!

You didn’t post SPOILER!

I’m taping the WHOLE TOUR and watching it at Christmas… tx… now you’ve ruined the stage for me.

OMG, that was f’n INSANE!!!

A man amongst boys (but not in the Michael Jackson sorta way

Oh please forgive me. I guess i should post a spoiler on every thread because someone might read it when they aren’t supposed to.

Grant

I was kidding of course… exactly my point.

Oh please forgive me. I guess i should post a spoiler on every thread because someone might read it when they aren’t supposed to.
Yes because people here are pussies… whining pussies, because if they were silent, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Hoo WEEE! I wish I could have watched the whole last 20k.

Harden the F*ck up
.

I was being soft? Pardon?

That was pretty insane. But would he hold his own on the track? Or would he be mince meat?

I didn’t really watch the tour last year since i was just getting into tri’s and cycling. I watched it a bit but not much. But watching more closely this year it amazes me how much the third and fourth people etc look like they are hardly pedaling when they are in a pace line or peleton.

Like when robbie was catching up to the back of the pack a couple of those times he completely stoped pedaling and was just crusing along behind everyone.

McEwen raced Aussie track sprinter Ryan Bayley a little while back. I wouldn’t say he was mince meat, but apparently Bayley was confident enough to do a wheelie through the line-see pics in the link.

Track sprinters are a whole other type of animal. Robbie seems to sprint by churning huge gears- an option you don’t have if you expect to be able to respond to attacks in a match sprint format. Cadence is more important than gear inches in track. Bayley probably just spun it up and passed him without much issue.

Heck of a finish in that stage, especially given how much he had to chase to get back into the peloton.
