I have done Triathlons over the past 5 years, but have recently begun focusing on cycling specifically. Anybody know of any good Crits or Road Races in the Chicago area? Preferably beginner friendly.
I can hold about 19 mph on a solo 30 mile ride on a road bike with some hills.
I recently did a group ride of 5 or 6 people where we did 30 miles and 20mph felt really comfortable.
I am 25 years old and have a lot of time to train. I’ve always debated racing a cat 4/5 crit, but even those guys can be pretty intimidating.
