I’m going to Vail, Colorado next week and was wondering if it was a good place to ride a road/tri bike? I know the area is known for it’s MTBing, but I would rather get in some rides on the road.
Is so, any suggested routes?

vail pass is a good ride
also, about an hour up the road, the Glenwood Springs area has some fantastic rides…it’s a valley and is very scenic. I can’t remember the name though.
As far as bike rental goes, I am clueless.
The area just outside of Vail towards Beaver Creek has some roads that are not super busy and there is a bike path you can ride. You can ride from Vail to Breckenridge completley on the path (further really) and it is a beautiful path with, of course, Vail pass to go over. Vail pass is very doable on a bike, I have done it on my mountain bike.
Vail is on the route for the Copper Triangle ride, which goes over three passes within 80 or so miles. There is a map on the Team Evergreen web site (teamevergreen.org).
