Does anybody have information on where to rent road or mountain bikes in san diego? My sister is coming into town for the IB tri and she just needs something to ride. This race is really just for fun so it doesn’t need to be anything crazy…just preferably not a beach cruiser! I was thinking about calling some bike shops but if anybody could throw out a few suggestions that would be awesome. Thanks!

I had a decent experience at B & L. Bike rental was ~$45/day for a road bike - $22 more per day than my car rental.
Nytro in Encinitas has a full fleet of 2007 Cervelo P2SL’s and Soloist Team bikes for rent. They are also the official retailer at the IB Triathlon Expo, so you might be able to make arrangements to pick up / drop off at the race site.
$45.00 a day includes a helmet, pedals, tool bag, and a wicked fast bike.
