OK, I have this huge dilemma. Looking to buy a new road bike. I have 2 more hours to make a decision on whether or not to buy a Kestrel Talon, complete Ultegra for $1800-brand new, or hold off and purchase either an Orbea Lobular Carbon or Mitis Carbon bike. I already test rode a Talon but I am unable to test ride an Orbea as these seem to be special order items. Any input or advice? Oh yea, I say 2 more hours because the sale at Trisports.com is over in 2 hours.

I’m not terribly crazy about the talon as a road bike even though I sold a couple when I worked at a bike shop. For 2 grand, I feel like there are many, better options. If you’re still interested this weekend, I can offer you several suggestions in the 1700-2200 price range. Unfortunately I don’t have much time to help you now as I’ve got a project I **have **to finish in the next 2 hours.
I don’t personally have an Orbea, but have a couple friends who do and they are real happy with their’s plus they look prety cool and you don’t see a hundred other people riding them. If you can find an Orbea dealer in your area, maybe they will have some of the other models so at least you can get a feel for their bikes and sizing.
