Unfortunately Tim Magliozzi from car talk passed away due to complications from Alzheimers on Monday. Man I loved listening to those guys, super funny.

Here is a great sample. Lol http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=1&t=1&islist=false&id=357428287&m=357430667

On man, you just ruined my day. I learned so much from this show!

Great show.

RIP.

Just heard this. It’s a downer, love that show.

Oh, man. Say it ain’t so…

I didn’t know he had Alzheimer’s. My Mom is getting near the end from the same illness.

So sad. My son is only 13, but loves listening to the show with me. I know they didn’t tape a new show for a few years, but that never stopped us from enjoying Click and Clack.

Well, that just sucks. I loved listening to Car Talk. I had no idea that Tom had Alzheimers.

Sad news indeed - discovered the show when I moved tot he US 11 years ago. Loved it. I think the best pieces usually involved choosing a car, expecially if a significant other was involved.

In the man’s own words - "I like to drive with the windows open. I mean, before you know it, you’re going to spend plenty of time sealed up in a box anyway, right?”

RIP

Dang, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I love Car Talk.

I wonder how long I’ve been listening to repeats on NPR. I assumed they were still current shows, but if he had Alzheimer’s, maybe not.

They have been retired for a couple years now.

Bummer. Good show, and I remember, when they stopped, reading that it was by far NPR’s highest rated show, even when they would go on hiatus. No idea how it ranks now, but I still listen sometimes because they are seriously entertaining.

Oh, that’s terrible. One of my favorite radio shows.

I was wondering why they stopped taping shows despite being so popular.

RIP, A fun show, they seemed to have a blast all the time.

Great guy! Both brothers are MIT graduates. They’re a unique combination of genius smart mixed with the ability to use humor and connect with people from all walks of life.

Plus, science!

Oh, that’s terrible. One of my favorite radio shows.

I was wondering why they stopped taping shows despite being so popular.

X2. My Saturdays will never be the same. RIP Tom

Well, NPR has been playing recorded shows for two years. Before that, Tom was obviously having some troubles. I loved his laugh!
