He did have a helluva send off. His passing hits hard. His impact on the entertainment industry is rager than just music. He is a legend.

Funeral procession underway.

Who Created the Ozzy Osbourne Logo?

Yaroslaw Prokoptchuk holds the credit for designing the Ozzy Osbourne visual mark. The wordmark is simple, eye-catching, and it conveys the attitude of the talented rock star.

As seen in the flowers in the hearse, and everywhere else, pretty much

RIP Ozzy, he will sing me to sleep.

That is damn cool!

The girl goes back to college early tomorrow. For familiy movie night she and her brother wanted to watch Gnomeo and Juliet.

  1. I forgot how funny it is
  2. I forgot Ozzy plays Fawn the lawn deer, haha
  3. And Hulk Hogan is Terifirminator

Royal guard show up to practice - I’m sure they practice; why wouldn’t they?

Each player has new sheet music on their chair

“Excuse me, sir?” asks one of the musicians “What it this?”
“‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath” answers the bandleader “We’re going to play it at The Palace for Ozzy”
“No need for sheet music, sir” another musician adds “I’m fairly certain we all know it”
“One, two, three, four …”

The old wordmark rocks. New one, not so much.

But you buried the lead in that article:

Polka Tulk Blues Band was the original name for the group. However, in 1968, they adopted Earth as their new name. Unfortunately, as memorable as the name sounds, it was already in use by another group. So, to avoid confusion, in August 1969, they opted for Black Sabbath. This moniker, Black Sabbath, came from a horror movie released in 1963 by Boris Karloff.

That’s just dumb.

Doesn’t it refer to what should be the lead story?

Listening to my friend’s radio show on WPRB, and he played a belated set of Sabbath covers

While playing Charles Bradley’s cover of “Changes” another listener posted in the chat …

“missus and i are discussing how this should be used in a commercial for menopause meds…debating which female artist should sing it.”

For my own amusement I’m working up a re-envisioning of the AARP logo, and looking at Punk/Pop-Punk artists who are 50-60 y/o; I might have to look into some more female artists who may be in the peri-/post- state of things — how old is Gwen Stefani? Brody Dale? Kathleen Hannah?

I may be thinking in the wrong Age Group though; it’s been a while in our house and I’m foggy on the timeline now

Any Nominees?

‘Changes’ seems to have become the current song de jour.

While running this morning, I came up with a few others

Kim & Kelley Deal
Tonya Donnelly
Could call them “Breeders No Longer”

Liz Pharisees
PJ Harvey
Donita Sparks
Carrie Brownstein
