Looking for a cheap trainer wheel for a disk brake bike. Would a rim brake wheel work for trainer applications only?
Probably hard to find a thru axel rim brake wheel for cheaper than a disc one (unless your bike has QR discs). You’d also need to remember to put in the caliper spacer if you have hydraulic brakes (to keep the pads from binding). Sounds like more trouble than it’s worth.
