Need help- going on a trip to Gainesville, FL this weekend and have to run/ride. Are there any routes that anyone knows of that I could ride/run on. Any info much appreciated, thanks.
You picked a nice weekend to visit. There’s a ride on Saturday (Ride to Remember - google Gainesville Cycling Club) that ranges between 20 to 100 miles. The scenery will be nice (for central Florida) and ride support is good. I’ve done it the past few years. You can register the day of from what I remember.
The location of the start is at a nice trail (Hawthorne Trail in SE G’ville) for running or biking. It has mile markers and port-a-johns at miles 1 and 6.5. On last Saturday’s run we saw about 6 deer.
