What kind of TSS should realistically come from this type of ride?

I am thinking training peaks is giving me figures that are significantly higher than it should (I think) so trying to get it corrected.

Depends what your FTP is and how hard you have to ride in order to finish that route in 3 hours.
Chris Froome and I could ride together for 3 hours. In order for that to happen though, I’d need to ride near my limit and net around 220 TSS points, and Chris would likely need to soft pedal and net around 95 TSS points.
you don’t have power meter in that ride so it could be anything. the estimates don’t take wind/drafting/cda/crr into account
Correct, which is why it is high withing TP, I would like to manually adjust it for the weekend rides as they are done one my road bike which does not have power, I have a pretty good idea what the power would be for the ride based of my heart rate but don’t have a clue as to what to manually change the TSS to.
I would say of the three hours two hours are medium to hard, 20 minutes in, to about 2:20 the rest is easy, the difficulty of the ride really depends on who shows up and feels like riding but for me that would just mean less time at the front and more time simply trying to hold on.
Right now I have my FTP set to 300, but have not done a test in a long time and doing alot of my rides without power it could be anything
this is a handy scale to guess at TSS when you don’t have power:
.
Can you get the TRIMP points from Golden Cheetah or anything? I’ve been taking 0.55 x TRIMP to come up with a very rough estimate of TSS when I ride my MTB and CX bikes. Look at several past rides and compare TRIMP vs. TSS to see what number comes closest for you.
Excellent, Thank You.

That’s also pretty close to the Sufferfest scale too.
