He basically said “I’m too important/busy to deal with this…and left.”
He left his card, so he isn’t trying to shirk responsibility, just can’t be bothered. Having worked with many iBankers (including Allen&Co.) that attitude is not universal, but disturbingly common. You can get very used to having others clean up your messes, and just throwing $$$ to make problems go away. It actually takes an effort to not become “that guy”.

If you are running that late for an important meeting you need someone else doing your scheduling. It’s NYC, and you should know getting from A to B is always going to take X plus 20 minutes time-wise. This sort of thing says a lot though about Wall Street and its disconnect from real people…
