For better knowledge that the wheels are you going for are genuine Reynolds wheels, check the tread wear life given and this can be done with the help of a professional such as carbon connection. This brand of wheels is known to have a higher life tread where their compound is harder and more so lasts for a very long time before a car owner thinks of replacing them. If you get anything lesser, then you should know that what you are looking at is not Reynolds and you should skip to the next.

The above paragraph makes no sense.
By the way, the wheel brand you mention has had problems with the brake track melting so “you should skip to the next” as you say.
I agree with you that the original post made no sense.
But what year and model were those Reynolds in the pic you posted? Did they have the new(er) CTg braking surface?

Just curious. I’ve had Reynolds 32mm clinchers with the CTg brake track for over a year and they seem bombproof. No issues with overheating, even on bigger climbing days (6k+ feet) with some fairly technical and steep (20+ degree) swithback descents.
I think he means the no-name brand the OP was attempting to promote, that those wheels had the brake track issues. Reynolds have a good reputation for durability. From one Reynolds owner to another

Reynolds wheels are awesome! Nothing beats the new aero line in terms of handling, aerodynamics, durability and looks!
