Reynolds Assault clincher vs Giant P-SLR1 aero

Looking to get a new wheelset for my giant Trinity comp tri bike. Found the Reynolds Assault clincher limited (2013 model) on performance bike for a nice price (http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1167785_-1_400934__400934 ). Also looking at the Giant P-SLR1 aeros (2013 model) from my LBS. Does anybody have any input on these wheelsets or similar ones?

My new road bike came with a set of the P-SLR1 wheels. Got about 1k miles on them and so far I’ve liked them. Solid, reasonably aero, quite light. Now, the tires that came on them… yeah not so much. They’re a pain in the ass to get mounted correctly. Almost like they were tubeless or something.

Do you need an 11-speed compatible freehub body? Or would 10-speed work for you?

At the same price, it’s a close call. Giant reduced it’s price in 2013; the MSRP used to be very close. IIRC, the Giants have DT internals, weigh about 150gms more, have an aluminum rim and is slightly wider.

As of now, a 10-speed would work for me… I am mostly doing half ironman races in the new England area.
