REV3 AG Bike Pics on Competitor

Maybe they intentionally chose the most ridiculous bikes in the racks, but man there are some doozies in there. I especially love the Shiv with what looks like 6’’ of spacers between bar and pads. And the hydration systems, bento boxes, and rear mounted craziness - while not shocking any more - still gives me a good laugh every time.

the 2nd to last bike, the last plasma, has more food & drink on it that my kitchen does. no joke.

and i thought that shiv had to be a joke. that’s got to be 10" of spacing. wow. that is alot of money for a bike that doesn’t fit.

there are a few ST member bikes on there I see.

have a link?

Did the website just crash?

The worst two had to be the Shiv and the Look earlier on that I am pretty sure either had a vertical stem or a stem that was possibly coming up and backwards, never seen that before.

Lots of Di2 on those bikes too.

It seems to be down. Anyone else have issues?

I can’t get there either. Must have been some very ugly looking bike set ups to make the website crash like that.

No matter how goofy, time is still the only thing that matters.

Agreed generally…but the amount of *time *it would take the owner of that Shiv to reach down and grab his brake levers would concern me if I was riding anywhere in his vicinity.

I’m confused, why would you buy a bike that can lower your frontal position and then put 6 inch risers in the basebar so you can sit up like you would on any other bike? I didnt get this on the Storck, Scott, or Giant either. Is there that many benefits in the frame that you can negate the intended rider position and still benefit?

That is wild. I wonder if there truelly is a drawback aerodynamically setup like that.

The Look 596 (which I was hoping was not mine) does appear to have the ergo stem flipped all the way up and angled slightly back.

what’s wild is how much drop that Shiv STILL has from saddle to pads.

The Look 596 is a Decepticon in disguise. I could spot that a mile away.

there are all sorts of things going on in those photos!
It is like they purposely put up some of the more “questionable” fits… they must read ST a LOT

Ewan

the handling on that shiv must have been epic. i’m imagining something like riding a unicycle.

The Shiv still has some drop, which is amazing. Some of the pros ride theirs with quite a few spacers (Jens Voigt comes to mind). It’s not a matter of compromising aerodynamics, but it might be a matter of compromising safety by having the brakes so far away, especially considering how congested most bike courses are.

THere was more than one Look 596 out on the course.

Well then maybe YOU passed me. Blast!
