I broke one about 5 years ago and did everything, contacted spinergy, searched the web, ect. I found one bike shop in Buffalo, NY that had two packs, bought both. Sorry, but when I sold the wheels the stiffeners went with them.
My only suggestion is to keep hunting, if your lucky you might find some hiding somewhere.
Bob
Keep an eye on e-bay. I have seen them come up for sale there. Just check under spinergy rev x.
From the Spinergy.com FAQs:
** ** · Do you have X-Beam stiffeners for the Rev X?
The X Beams are no longer available. There is no known source. There are plans for putting them into production.
(My guess is they might want to edit that with a well-placed “not.”)
See Item 15 posted here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/rinard/wheel/ It might save you some trouble.
Wow…
Nope. The difference is smaller than the precision of the measurement. Strangely enough, the RevX I measured was actually more flexible after I installed the X-Beams, though the difference is insignificant (0.059" or 1.50mm of deflection with the X-Beams compared to 0.057" or 1.45mm without).
thanks for the input------im still deciding whether im going to buy the rev-x’s or not but reading that makes the stiffener issue a non-issue. good thing too because the only ones ive been able to find are on ebay and i think the bid is up to $50.00 for a pack of 4. anyway thanks again for the info.
If you decide to buy a set, pm/e-mail me. I will let them go for half of e-bay going rate.
