Retailer database complete: now, let us rank and comment

I’m curious … is there a reason a LBS or Tri-store would not want to be listed? Are they spammed or solicited as a result? Is this a Slowman plot to take over the world?

I ask because I notice that none of the Okanagan valley stores, including Bike Barn - which employs regular ST posters, are listed.
I think Will is afraid of computers.

I think Will is afraid of computers.

I note that he has a Power-Meter on his bike. I have ridden his bike.

I suppose if I thought there was a financial benefit. However, of the Tri population where I live, no one really knows of Slowtwitch so it would have minimal benefit

Ok here are some thoughts as I’m now lived in 2 different tri communties.

Inside Out in Cary, NC is a great tri shop. They have a phenomal “team membership” concept, where the more you buy, the more you actually save and get money back. So it’s a great deal for sure, and the mechanics there are really knowledgeable.
They also have a store in Charlotte, NC. Pretty much everyone that works there is eithher a triathlete or was an triathlete.

So now I live in Richmond and use 3Sports. The owner of the store is great. Has helped with a bunch of questions about bikes. The bike mechanics are great. The store is sorta broken down into a “running store” and a “bike shop”, as it is a 2 story shop. It does offer Richmond Tri Club members percentage off all purchases.

Two…maybe three things.

-As far as I know we never received an email from Slowtwitch re. the database

-I am only afraid of POS computers

-Fleck can never ride my bike again…I downloaded my SRM after he rode it and his average watts put mine to shame.

Will

Was gonna post some pics of a brand new QR Kilo with 8spd DA that we still have never sold to hopefully get some Slowtwitch street-cred (sorry I can’t really type gangster) but I got lazy. Plus I don’t now what that says about my shop since we couldn’t sell a bike in the first dozen or so years we have had it:)

I must be fitter than I thought. Thanks, Will!

When in Penticton folks, be sure to stop by the Bike Barn - One of the absolute best bike/tri shops in North America. Who cares if they are on the list or not!

We just listed our shop on slowwitch retailer database, thanks you

Update for New Mexico - the webmaster for Sport Systems is horrible (as would be indicated by their website), so I don’t know who would actually get the info@sportzoutdoor.com email address.

The email for the bike shop manager in the store is randy@nmsportsystems.com. Tell him Todder sent ya.

Yes, it’s possible that the email didn’t go to you, or that (somehow) you are not in Dan’s database. Really, Jill will probably fault ME for not putting the Barn in myself… Go here: http://www.slowtwitch.com/retailers/ and click “Add Retailer”
