I’m in my 2 build phase following 16 weeks of base training. Since I started building, the intensity of my workouts has increased and I have been resting properly. That said, I have been a little sore following my harder workouts.
So, this weekend I did a century ride and am feeling a little sore today and a little more tired than normal. However, my HR was still low this morning @ 38bpm. Aside from my feeling tired, is my low resting HR a good sign that I am not catching the overtrain? My thoughts are that I will bounce back by mid week with a few recovery efforts. I understand that an elevated HR is a sure sign of overtraining.
