It very clearly states that the voters we ILLEGALLY registered, and as we all know **ILLEGALLY **registered voters should not get to vote. It really is quite simple and it works both ways.
Back to the “if it is real” comment. It is pretty easy from some lefty to spend a few minutes on the ole puter pumping the keys to come up with that. It is just as easy to throw it in the mail and mail it to himself. Notice first there is no name or signature on the letter. Every government letter I have ever received has a sig on it from the person writing, or the chairman of the office that produced it. Second I also see that there is not a seal of any sorts, City, County or State on the letter. Again every gov letter I have ever received has some sort of seal. Not to mention the fact that it specifically names groups, all of which are left leaning. This is a hack job and you know it.
I guess the real fraud is on you RB, and it goes to show you the lengths to which folks on your side are willing to go to get their ends.

Last night on the NBC nightly news they were talking about these people (thousands, apparently) that the republicans will be sending into the polling places to “challenge” democratic voters. They will ask them things like their address, etc. The goal is to create long lines and intimidate. From the MSNBC story:
"So the GOP will send thousands of “challengers,” like Chuck Mifsud, to the polls on Election Day. They will target heavily Democratic areas and question voters about their age and residency.
“I think the reports of voter fraud are enough to make anyone want to make sure that we have fair elections,” says Mifsud.
Democrats charge the real goal is to suppress the vote by causing long and frustrating lines. So their poll monitors will watch the Republicans."
If someone is properly registered, what right does an outsider have to intefere with you at a polling place? If one of these clowns got in my face, I’d be pretty pissed.

Of course a Democrat might fake a letter to Democrats urging them not to vote in order to blame it on Republicans and undermine the election process. I don’t know if that is what happened here, but it certainly might have.

The number of people who get this letter and decide they CAN’T VOTE will far outweigh the number of people that think it’s a trick and decide to SWITCH their votes.

You have to try very very hard to ignore the obvious on this one, I think you have succeeded. Yes I do in fact think a Dem sent out that letter.
First- If I were a Dem (thank God I am not) and I received that letter it would flat out piss me off and make me even more determined and entrenched to vote for Kerry. I’d be willing to bet that the majority of people would have the same reaction. Unless you think all Dem voters are helpless skulls of mush and would just throw their hands in the air and say “well thats that, I guess I can’t vote”.
Second- All it takes is one simpleton to start running his mouth about this and take it to the local nightly news,local rag or Dan Rather and CBS and make it headlines. Next thing you know everyone knows about it and reacts the same way I mentioned above. The end result is more Dems at the polls
Third- It smacks very obviously of a hack job. Why on earth would a Bush supported or a Republican list in the letter the following groups, NAACP, John Kerry for President, America Coming Together, and Capri Cafero for congress when they know that it would very obviously come back on them. It makes much more sense that some clever little Dem typed this out, knowing the blame would fall elsewhere and the end result would be Republicans looking bad and more Dems Pissed off and at the polls

Dude, don’t do that to yourself. I occasionally flip on Sean Hannity just to hear what load of shit he is pushing over the airwaves and to hear some of the right wing prop. Sort of a sanity check. It doesn’t take long to see through the crap, but then I guess I am looking for holes in it. I really can’t stand that guy.
It is amazing how we can look at the same information and come up with completely different takes on it. There are enough people on here that come to logical conclusions like yourself, Vitus, Casey that aren’t left on every other issue. I find myself falling more left on issues than most people on this board so its good to see more reasonable less-biased people who are coming to similar conclusions based on fact. I don’t really see many of the severe right wingers taking anything other than the party line on most issues but then I haven’t been around here very long.
