I noticed a fingernail cut, about 3/4" wide, on the upper front leg portion of my T1 wetsuit. It’s not all the way through the rubber but pretty close. What’s the best way to repair this? Can I use Loctite all-purpose adhesive sealant or Shoo Goo?
Hi TCR2,
You’ll find that any rubber adhesive should work well to repair a wetsuit, but a dive shop should be able to provide you with a more specific glue. There are instructions for repairing fingernail cuts on our website

Good luck

What did he say to do?
“What’s the best way to repair this?”
no rubber missing (fingernail tear): wetsuit glue (QR sells a repair kit).
rubber missing (like a gouge): shoe goo works fine.
need a repairman: de soto is one of only two wetsuit makers i know of in north america that has their own in-house ability to repair their own wetsuits (QR being the other).
Definetly excellent customer service. He emailed me back stating either of those adhesives will work or send it to them and they’ll repair it for free. Thanks guys.
