A buddy is travelling in Germany and France for the next two weeks and was looking to find a decent road bike for rent. Anyone have experience with this? Know of a shop that rents “decent” road bikes?

last i heard the bike travels for free overseas, so i would take his bike with him. borrow a bike box if he doesn’t have one.
yeah…he tried that. But his wife said, “no bike” He is figuring (hoping) that this will be an acceptable alternative.
Certainly not a rode bike but I recently heard that Paris will have commuter bicycles for rent all over the city this summer. Paris is trying to become a more bicycle friendly city and is lauching a city wide campaign this summer, prices are dirt cheap too.
