What are your thoughts?
Am looking to grab a rear disc to use in conjunction with my Zipp 404 (2005) front - will either hang on to or sell my zipp 404 rear.

Tough call, but if you’ve got the 404 already, I’d probably lean towards the Zipp.
What kind of bike will you be putting it on?
Cannondale IM 6000 (05 model)
My Zipps are clinchers (preferred actually) and I know that the Madiera comes in a Clincher.
Or should I sell my Zipps and buy a 909 wheelset (tubular)?
If you are sticking with the clincher on the front, get the Renn on the back.
Because the Renn is much cheaper and has the same weight I would buy the Renn Madeira.

Thank you gents!
From a performance perspective- would the difference between the Renn and Zipp be distinguishable?
The difference between the most expensive disk ever made and a $60 Chaero wheel cover is nothing, in fact the wheel cover tests better in some wind angles.
In reality, a disk is disk is a disk to the wind. Some wheels may be better made then others but you’ll not see any difference in the Renn/Zipp comparison.
Buy what makes you happy. Never look back because the differences are not enough to determine first place vs. second place.
Stupid question - but do they sound the same?
I know the weight is close and the aero benefits are almost identical
My wife actually asked me if they both made the same sound - I don’t know the honest answer - I assume they do - I personally don;t care - but would like to answer her question
Of the guys that I have done TTT’s with, 2 have Renn’s, one has a Zipp and the 4th has a Corima. I haven’t been able to discern a difference but I’ll admit I haven’t really thought about it. They all are noisy if that helps.
If you are willing to spend the money for a Zipp and don’t mind riding a tubular, buy the Blackwell disc. It is made by Zipp and they sell it for $999 as opposed to $1390.
However, if you would rather have a clincher, get the Madeira.
My Renn is much Louder when i don’t cover up the hole used to pump it up. But I think it tends to be a litle quieter than the Zipps.

Is this the same dics as Zipp’s own 909 disc or is it different?
Are 58’s wheels also made by Zipp? Similar to 404? I don’t think they are sold in Europe?
I don’t think the Blackwell 58s are Zipp 404s, well pre 2005 404s. I’m probably wrong but I remember seeing something that made me come to that conclusion.
The Blackwell disk looks like a non-dimpled Zipp disk.
The disc that Zipp manufactures for Blackwell is not dimpled. That is the only difference. The weight is the same.
Don’t know about the 58’s.
Get the Renn- you will not be disappointed and your wallet will be thicker.
