Renn disk doubles my speed

So I take a magnet off the fridge to tape on to my Renn disk and wham, I’m doing 46 MPH on my trainer. WTF? Specs: Cateye Astrale 8 (with wires). Cadence is still correct with cadence magnet on crank arm. Any ideas where the problem is?

Side note- because of the bend in the chain stay (P2K), I had to face the speed sensor forward toward the front of the bike rather than backward, though I don’t think that mattered. I had to do that in order for the sensor to pick up the magnet. Also, everything works normal on the stock wheel with its magnet.

Thoughts:Bad magnet (under powered)? HELP

Remove the magnet and rotate it 90 degrees and place it back on. You’re going through two poles causing the sensor to pick it up twice per revolution.
