Any tips on how to remove Zipp stickers off of thier 2005 dimpled version? Appears to be on quite well. Just like those old model car stickers you put in wtaer then apply. Help.
I was under the impression that the 2005 dimpled Zipps did not have stickers and their logos were baked on.
Yeah it looks like its baked on. Just wondering if anyone figured out how to get them off.
Just out of curiosity, why do you want to remove the Zipp logo?
If there baked on, I don’t think you can remove them without damage. If their not baked, I used a hair dryer to heat them up just a little and they pulled right off.
I just like a plain, vanilla look to my bike. No stickers, logos, etc…
I had to remove my Litespeed stickers on my bike because they kept getting scratched and looked crappy, so I just go rid of them. Did the same to my old Zipp stickers and my bike was cool (to me). My wife says my bike looks cheap.
Now I got the new dimpled 404s and those logos look tough to get off. can’t just peel’em.
The logos are baked in while the laquer is still wet and i have yet to hear of a way to remove them. Unfortunately the baking process tints the sticker a bit off white.
Go with the Z series and get the super cool silver stickers
.
Now that’s about the funniest thing I’ve seen all day. Keep em’ coming Monk. I sure did need a good laugh after stomping out disease all night long in the ER.
