Everyone got to “break the tape” at the finish line of IM races?

I am glad this doesn’t go down. IMO the only people breaking tape should be the OA Pro M/F and possibly the OA AG M/F. The whole concept behind breaking the tape is that you are the winner of the event.

I’ve done several sprint races where they’ve started doing that. It’s embarrassing really,
but shouldn’t be surprising, everyone’s a winner after all.

Completely off topic but along the lines of us all being winners. I saw where an 0-10
Texas high school football team is going to the playoffs.

Thanks for bringing up some great memories, Mike. I liked breaking the tape.
And it was fun to volunteer at the finish line… we had to run up there and stick the velcro back together!
It’s all in the realm of Compete Vs Complete.
