Of course it is. I don’t think of the d bags that run along side and interfere with riders as fans.
See the guy at the Dauphine (?) this year that pushed a rider from behind, causing him to come out of his pedals, and causing him to lose the breakaway (and maybe the stage).
Hahaha that was a funny moment. Would be funny if a guy wearing a cow suit ran next to him this time around… or maybe bull. What type of beef was he eating???
It’s scenes like that making me glad our sport isn’t that popular. Of course, we’d got prosecuted for something like this (not that i personally have the skill to pull of the ‘punch’ or the shoulder block):
When I’m suffering up a long climb, I’m usually doing it in silence. I can’t imagine being in that tunnel of screaming idiots, people throwing water at you, getting right in your face, etc and trying to focus on a climb that hard. Punch away!
That is quite a shoulder…that’s gotta hurt at that speed. I kind of feel bad for that guy though because he wasn’t harassing them and deserve it like some of those guys do.
Since most of us are athletes and fans, who do you side with? Do you think it was okay for Alberto to do that?
I would go one step further. I wish the lead motorcycle, would be a pair of bikes with about 10 feet of pipe connecting them so that any idiot crowding the riders and acting like a moron would get clotheslined.
It’s hard for me to watch all the morons needlessly interfering with the riders without getting angry and wishing I were there with a plastic whiffle ball bat to discourage such behavior.

Look at where he’s standing. The dumbass deserved every bit of what he got because he’s clearly in the way like a moron.
