Reid's '04 Kona Water Bottle

Does anyone know where you can purchase the aero bottle Reid had on the downtube of his bike in Kona? I’m going to do some digging in the AM w/ the vendors (ie. PowerBar), but was curious if anyone has seen these.

Thanks!

The water bottle Peter used is an old Campagnolo aero bottle. You can find similar water bottle for very cheap price on ebay.

You need a time machine to take you back to 1985 when Campagnolo started making those. I bought one back then, it was the only Campy component on my bike and I was proud as hell to have it. I sold it when I sold my bike in 1989.

They still turn up on eBay from time to time.

Here’s it for sale:

I have one. They don’t hold very much.

I hear that he is anal about his bike parts, but I wonder why the big switch from last year? I was there last year and saw his Specialized. He was using 2 specialized rib cage bottle holders on an X-lab flat wing seat mount with “normal” water bottles (Gatorade and Powerbar logos I believe). He also uses the out of production Profile design aero brake levers that seem really dangerous to me!

In 04, he didn’t have the campy bottle. It appears that he had the Corbra ‘profil’ or something very similiar:

Thanks for the posts.

FYI, I just received this back from the man himself:

Specialized is currently designing an aero bottle similar to the one I used. It will be ready by midsummer.
Stay tuned!
