Seems like HIG is just putting up there own money to showcase/promote their own athletes. Net result, it doesn’t really matter who wins.
Although, it can certainly blow up if either gets injured or has a poor performance. Even worse if they both sandbag.
Lots of risk from a marketing perspective…
I believe I read that it was an advertised $5,000.00US to the winner.
I’m sure they’re both being paid substantially more than that just to show up… That’s just window dressing…
Hey gang … Russ (vineman RD) is putting up the $5000 and our loyal bike shop sponsor NorCal Bike Sport is providing support to get them here. Thats it form our side! These guys really liked the timing of the race and location so we made it work! Not saying that their sponsors do not help them but thats what we are doing from our end! While they are here a crew will be filming the entire race with part of it being included in a documentary (www.witmovie.com)

I didn’t mean to imply it was you. But regardless, they are trying to make a living. Who cares if somebody else is paying them to just show up. There is nothing wrong with that. They do have to pay the bills.

Yeah she is out of the mixer for now … not sure when she is due. Maybe they are using Tim in this now too? Not sure.
cam brown or craig alexander woiuld be cool to watch in this race as well since they all race similarly.
