Has there been any word on this? I know they are expecting big numbers for the “10th anniversary” (it’s not, that’s in 2009, but whatever). They only allowed you to sign up one person in Penticton last year, right?

Yes and no…it’s the 10th running of the race, but the 9th anniversary of the first one. Think of it in terms of a marriage…you celebrate your first anniversary after you’ve been married for a year, not on the day you got married.
Confusing? Yeah. Is it the 10th or 9th anniversary? Not sure…I’m confused now…and I don’t really care, because it’s a kick ass race either way.

You are exactly right, it’s the 10th occurrance of the race, not the 10th anniversary. The marriage analogy was in my head as well. Seems like NA Sports is just trying to hype it up; I’m not sure why that’s necessary when it fills in 90 minutes.
Anyway, back to the original question. Any idea about signing up a friend?
