Who’s in for the Reeds Lake Tri?

crazy…It was like race-day yesterday…hundreds on the course.
I have to go to Grand Rapids that weekend for a wedding which is causing me to miss the Lake Geneva tri. I’m still working on my wife to let me do this tri. So far, unsuccessful. She says I’ll be tired for the wedding and will want to go home early (that will be the case anyhow). Give me some reasons why I should try harder to persuade her. Big AG trophies or something.
I hate missing the race this year, but have bigger things to fry…IMMOOO her I come!
It’s a nice race with a big turn out. We had our tri club there yesterday morning for a course preview and there were a lot of people. We swim the lake two mornings a week and usually don’t see anyone else, but not the case yesterday
Not sure about trophies, being that I’m not that fast. But It’s a really well run race with good competition 1:21.11 won it last year. Fast bike course too. Hope you can make it. Should be about 1000 people in it.
It is a big local race (for short course) and season ender for many here. It is well run, but the bike is pretty boring (IMO). It is such a short race you shouldn’t be tired at all later that day.
I will be a drunk spectator at IMW so I’m out. I would definitely do it I was in town though.
I’ll be there! Just look for the guy that’s nearly drowning for about 30 minutes out there. I’m almost willing to bet money that a kayaker will decide that I’m a drowning risk and follow me for the 2nd half just in case. Hopefully I can redeem myself once I get out of the water though…Oh and FYI there is going to be a pro-am cycle race ($20k purse) in downtown Grand Rapids later in the day so that will be the afternoon’s entertainment!
