Matt Reed keeps beating Andy Potts. He beat him by two seconds in Miami and two minutes at California HIM… does anyone know if they are facing each other anymore times this season?
Showdown in Kona maybe?
Nah, Reed doesn’t do IM or doesn’t have any on his schedule this season. I guess they’ll have another showdown at 70.3 World Championships.
Reed had a dominating race. I bet if they do square off again it will be at 70.3 world championships. That is if Potts does it with Kona being what, 4 weeks before?

I’m sure they will both race at Clearwater, but I think Potts plans on focusing on Kona, so I don’t know if he’ll be one of the main contenders.
Per their websites, both are scheduled to race: Wildflower, Alcatraz, Lifetime Fitness, Nautica NYC
Andy has Kona on his schedule, but not Clearwater.
Too bad the 70.3 WC’s are not 4-5 weeks BEFORE KONA. Then you could get the best IM guys on form for both. That being said, realistically, 70.3 is a race for Olympic tri speedsters…the training is really not that different.
Potts’ saddle broke in Miami, but in Oceanside, Reed was awesome especially seeing that Potts was 5 minutes faster than last year!
