currently looking for a bike i can use to commute and bad weather riding. i want steel, and i’ve been looking at surly and gunnar. only because i know about those, and should be able to pick up a used frame for not too much $. does anyone out there have any recommendations for frames?
Surley or Soma will be your cheapest options. Finding a Gunnar, Surley, or Soma used is tricky.
i’ve seen a few surlys go through ebay for a reasonable price. i’ll check out soma bikes, thanks for the recommendation
Gunnars rule, I’ve got the street dog, but honestly, I think that for a commuter which see’s lots of weather, the gunnar is probably too nice. Fenders front and back for sure. I say go with the surly - e
