Recovery week in base training

Hi All,
Just wanted to know what people do on a down week?
Ever since Moo I have been doing frequency S/B/R 6 days running 3-4 bikes nothing over 50miles.Swim 3to4 times.
So far this week I am taking 3 days in a row off. Cant believe it myself. But the overtrained signs are there/tired/grumpy(really)/tired!
Tuesday-mastersswim
Wednesday-bike trainer-1hour
Thursday-Run 6 miles to 1 hour.
Friday off SaT off.
Then start back up with base training on Sunday.Long Run/ahour run/45 min run/2-30 min.runs
2 bikes to 3
3 Swims.
May take December as a down month.Do you think thats necessasary?
This is my own plan based on frequency. Does anyone use a off season plan?
I dont want to burn out for next year. Florida Im is a long way away. But my goal to age group place at Timberman and Florida. I guess I am afaid of losing one once of fitness. But I do know its good to do that!

One thing about frequency is that after a year. I am starting to see results! I had my fastest 6 miles Turkey race ever! No speed work.(Running with faster friends) Well I am running in the hills(speed ).

Do you believe I am ok with base/frequency training low heartrate? I know people can take time off. But I have to keep it moving at least one workout a day! Today Pliates!
Thanks I look forward to peoples thoughts on this!

you certainly can take down time at this point in the season. You have 11 months until your goal race. Until January or February you should not be concerned with a schedule. You should on most days only do one workout per day. I made those same mistakes for a long time. You do not want to burn out when your race season starts. There used to be a saying about training for Kona by someone who knows.

Don’t stress now that is not a good sign for your goals.
