Has anyone out there used a recovery HR point immediately post workout as an indicator of fitness? ie. Once you have immediately finished your workout, you calculate the time it takes for your HR to fall back to a pre-determined number to guage your ability to recover - the quicker it falls back, the better.
Is there any value in this measurement? If so, how do you calculate this recovery heart rate? My HRM has this function (I think) but there is no real indication as to the value of it and how determine the figure.
